The 2024 4th International Conference on Detection Technology and Intelligence System (DTIS 2024) was successfully conducted from December 13-15, 2024, in Changsha, China. Detection Technology and Intelligence Systems are crucial for the advancement of many modern industries, yet continuous innovation and development are essential to meet global demands. Thus, DTIS 2024 served as a crucial forum for academics, industry experts, and researchers to expand their expertise and deepen their understanding of the latest trends in this rapidly evolving field. Esteemed speakers such as Prof. Haidong Shao from Hunan University, China, Prof. Xiaodong Zhang from Xi'an Jiaotong University, China, and Assoc. Prof. Wenfeng Hu from Central South University, China, delivered insightful presentations on their pioneering research. We believe these speeches offered participants both knowledge and inspiration, advancing research and development in the fields of detection technology and intelligence systems. The conference also featured oral presentations, providing a platform for researchers to share their findings. This setting was pivotal for participants to exchange ideas, fostering collaboration and the creation of new partnerships. We believe that the interactions and collaborations sparked during this conference have enhanced our understanding, encouraged interdisciplinary integration, and provided innovative solutions to the complex challenges facing the global community today. We have received a substantial number of manuscripts that were presented at the Conference. Each of these submissions has been subjected to a thorough and meticulous peer review process to ensure the quality and integrity of the research presented. These carefully vetted papers have been compiled into this proceeding. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the anonymous reviewers, whose insightful evaluations played a crucial role in determining the suitability of these articles for inclusion in this proceeding.
