Abstract
Problem-based learning (PBL) is a studentcentered method that develops critical thinking abilities. This study uses VOSviewer to perform bibliometric analysis on PBL research found in the Scopus database. An analysis of 317 articles and reviews revealed a steady increase in publications, with several authors became significant researchers, and the Journal of Engineering Education was a well-known publishing outlet. Higher education, critical thinking, collaborative learning, and active learning are the main topics of research. The paper illustrates new tendencies in research growth mapping from 1995 to 2024. These discoveries aid scholars, instructors, and legislators, directing subsequent PBL study and application.
