Abstract
—This paper shows how to transform digital signature (DS) schemes to efficient ID-based identification (IBI) schemes in general. Different from prior works, our transformations do not rely on OR-proof or its variants and thus obtain IBI with better efficiency. More precisely, a transformation from unforgeable DS to IBI which is secure against passive impersonation attack, and a transformation from strongly unforgeable DS to IBI which is secure against active and concurrent impersonation attacks are proposed. We apply the transformations on Katz-Wang signature and obtain an efficient active and concurrent-secure IBI scheme
