Abstract
Purpose of the study • Oral Cancer are highly frequent in Southern Asia and accountable for approximately 11% of cancer-related deaths in South and Southeast Asia (Cancer Research Malaysia, 2020). • Oral Cancer when detected in early stages carries a survival rate of up to 90%. However, many do not seek for treatment and are frequently diagnosed in later stages. In today’s modern day and age, with clinical oral examinations to oral cancer screenings being readily accessible and available whenever needed, it is critical to identify what truly motivates and drives Malaysians to go for an oral cancer screening.
