Abstract
A celebrity is seen as a role model, or a standard in which one must comply to be accepted in today’s society. Pressure of appearing beautiful, fit and slim as portrayed by these celebrities is a form of enforced idealism that the teenagers nowadays are forced to encounter. This painting addresses such enforced idealism by portraying a teenager that tries to emulate the how a celebrity dresses, walks, and presents herself to the society at large.
