Abstract
This paper reports the results of investigating the impacts of weather and personalisation on asthma exacerbations. Additionally, several machine learning classification algorithms were applied and evaluated to develop an intelligent mHealth solution that can offer accurate personalised estimations of asthma exacerbations based on weather and demography and provide tailored precautionary guidelines for selfcare to each user. Consequently, the proposed solution will enhance asthma self-management by assisting patients with chronic asthma to plan their daily outdoor activities and limit exposure to weather triggers, thus controlling their asthma exacerbations.
