Abstract

Institutions of Higher Learning requires a more inclusive thinking, and entrepreneurial mindset-driven workforce with adequate innovative capability. Little is known on how academic engagement in entrepreneurial activities relate to their innovative capability on the job. Accordingly, this study presents a conceptual framework of the determinants for academic entrepreneurial engagement and the effects of their engagement on innovative capability to turbocharge IR4.0 Education ecosystem. The study will draw on a framework to explain the determinants of academic entrepreneurial engagement. The conceptual framework will be helpful to further advance the motivation, ability opportunity framework to investigate the factors of academic entrepreneurial engagement and innovative capability.
