Abstract

In this research, the OpenBCI Mark IV EEG Headset is setup with configured EEG positions at FP1, FP2, F3, F4, F7, F8, T3 and T4. Several EEG signal preprocessing method are developed to remove the noise artifact from the EEG signal. Next, the Hermann Brain Dominance Instrument is employed to determine the brain dominance level through questionnaire method. The obtained results are then analysed with the implemented EEG Topographical Power Spectral Density Percentage (EEGTPSDP) to determine the correlation between EEG and brain dominance level. This research also involves the development of a deep neural network namely Metric Learning Based Convolutional Neural Network (MLBCNN) to classify brain dominance based on EEG signal.
