Abstract

Agriculture is one of the most vulnerable sectors that will highly affected by the climate change. However, the high topography is the main reason that contribute to the cool weather in Cameron Highlands and it is very suitable to grow fruits and vegetables. The increase in temperature and the unpredictable rainfall condition has affected the farmers' farming activities from many perspectives. Cameron Highlands has long been one of Malaysia's leading vegetable suppliers, supplying up to 40% of the vegetables to Malaysia. Purpose – This study is aiming to fill the research gaps in the literature by providing the determinants of farmers’ adaptation to climate change, the actual adaptation strategies adopted by the farmers and the impacts of the adaptation strategies.
