Abstract

Bankruptcy case in Malaysia and number of youth involved were growing concern. Credit card debt was found as one of the factors that cause youth bankrupt. Past studies showed that both financial literacy and attitudes have influential on the credit card debt. Hence, this study examines the relationship between financial literacy and attitude with credit card debt status in Malaysia. Convenience sampling was used in selecting the target respondents with online questionnaire. About 300 current workforces in Malaysia were participated in this survey through social media. The data collected and analysed by using Cronbach alpha as well as factor analysis. The relationships between variables were analysed through t-Test, ANOVA and regression.
