Abstract

In this dissertation,Twitter is selected as a representative of micro blogging social networks. Users can be linked with each other through the following and follower features in Twitter. This study tends to defined a new methodology to characterize users of micro-blogging social networks based on the contents of their tweets. Such study will verify if the follower and following features,provided by Twitter,can be used as accurate grouping of users with similar interests. Besides,the outcome of the proposed framework also can be applied for different purposes,such as target marketing on specific group of users with a set of topics in their tweets.
