Abstract

This research is aimed at finding out suitable texturing and lighting techniques that can be used to represent Virtual Heritage in order that the look and feel of heritage buildings are optimized and preserved for real time viewing. It looked at lighting and texturing techniques used by researchers to find out the appropriate techniques that can be used to represent virtual heritage. After that 3D representation of Malay heritage architecture was created using those techniques and a survey was conducted to find out which one of those samples creates better sense of realism.
