Abstract

This study offers a concise overview of various structures that utilize metamaterial absorbers for satellite applications. Metamaterials possess various unique properties that conventional materials lack. Metamaterial devices have found applications in various fields, such as wireless communication systems, satellite communication systems, and radar systems. A novel compact metamaterials unit cell has been designed and compared to previous works in the literature. The results indicate that the proposed unit cell demonstrates high absorptivity, making it suitable for satellite communication.
