Abstract

One in five Malaysians will be 60 years of age or older by 2030 [2], according to estimations, which indicates that the country is seeing a significant rise in its senior population. The challenges presented by this demographic shift include the requirement for robust digital health solutions that can support elderly individuals throughout their daily lives. This study uses bibliometric analyses to explore challenges encountered by the elderlies when using health technologies, additionally, the study investigates factors affection the adoption of technologies. Bibliometric analysis techniques are utilised to systematically review literature on the novel science of Gerontechnology, identifying trends, patterns and gaps that provides insight into the adoption of digital health technologies among the ageing demographics.
