Abstract

This research seeks to create an innovative Automated Vehicle Spoiler for sedans that dynamically adjusts its angle of attack dependent on vehicle speed. The carbon fibre spoiler lifts from 0 to 12 cm and extends from 135 to 165 cm. Designing a mechanical structure with active control that fits sedan cars is the main goal. CFD models and wind tunnel testing validate the prototype. When the car reaches 80 km/h, pressure sensors and OBD2 data from the vehicle automatically alter the spoiler's angle of attack.
