Abstract

Viscous dissipation effect can have significant contribution to temperature field for highly viscous flow through a microchannel. The present study intends to extend further on this field by contributing novel analytical solutions for a Newtonian viscous flow driven by an oscillating lower plate. By solving the momentum equation analytically, the characteristics of the velocity fields are found to be strongly dependent on the dimensionless angular frequency,
