Abstract

An Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is a system that refers to an organizational information system that is used to achieve improvements in process efficiency by providing the organization with very effective and improved real-time data. Many reasons can describe the inability of organizations to achieve success with the implementation of an ERP system, and on the other hand, there are many factors that can increase the chance of success of implementing such a system in the organization and these are usually labelled as critical success factors. An understanding of these critical success factors and the way that they affect the outcome of the implementation of an ERP system can dictate the success of the system. The main aim of this paper is to investigate the critical success factors across the ERP within small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) in Klang Valley, Malaysia. Method used is quantitative study where data is analyzed using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences version 26. The finding shows that there is a positive relationship between leadership, effective change management and end user training towards the successful implementation of ERP.
