Abstract

The objective of study is to investigate whether the characteristic of social media campaign has a positive impact on public opinion towards recycling in Malaysia. The statistical data was collected from 114 respondents. An online survey was prepared on Google spread sheet. Emails have been sent to residential mailing list around Kuala Lumpur that gathered from the management of the resident units. The results found that the three dimensions of independents variables, which are number of members, members of peers and perceived complementarily, have significant contribution on usefulness of information given from social media characteristics. The effects from these characteristics can be seen on usefulness of information steadily effects of public opinion and attitude on recycling program in Malaysia.
