Abstract

Background - The spread of the Internet creates numerous opportunities for people's well-being. According to the Theory of Digital Divide, there is an economic and social divide between a country's population and their access to information and communication technologies. Digital Inclusion can help narrow these gaps. Purpose - To anticipate how well-being and Internet use are related to different aspects of digital inclusion, such as digital skills, user attitude and opportunity, and other factors, recent research and experimental data is considered. Design/methodology/approach - The current literature provides a comprehensive examination of literature from its formative stages to its current state. Priority papers were meticulously selected and analyzed to identify the theoretical emphasis in the field of digital inclusion. Findings/Expected Contributions - This synthesis of current research will be useful in contributing to a developing country's future policy for infrastructure readiness in order to keep up with rapidly changing trends. The main contribution is using Van Dijk's Resources and Appropriation Theory (RAT) and Theory of Access in the field of digital inclusion, where there has been little research done. Research limitations - This paper is limited to the digital inclusion field. Originality/value - From the review, themes were discovered and future research observations were made.
