Abstract

Waqf has been long proven to be an excellent tool for improving people’s social well-being in the ancient Arab World. From funding mosques and building education institutions, Waqf also helps build the foundation of the current healthcare system. Though it has great potential, Waqf is being underutilized in Malaysia. Many studies have discussed the importance of Waqf as well as its history. However, limited studies are found regarding Waqf healthcare. Purpose – In this study, related pieces of literature on Waqf hospitals are reviewed and analyzed from few perspectives.
