Abstract

While it is true that change is unpredictable and random, responsibility for effectively managing change is part of organizational leader’s key performance. The success of most organizations depends on its people’s competencies and core capabilities in facing the challenges to change. Change management is a structured approach to move individuals to desired change direction in a way that ensures organization’s future viability and competitiveness. This study provides a brief overview of the history of change models and effective change management theories, followed by various literature reviews to have an understanding in successfully managing and achieving sustainable change objectives. The study also proposed the research instrument to gather primary data on behavior and potential factors influencing effective change management practices for further data analysis.
