Abstract

The objective of the study is to understand the factors that contributes to the impact of debt on society and lifestyle. There is an intense debt accumulated on today’s generation particularly, especially when they have lesser experience into making good financial decision and the expectation of a better income growth in the near future which is openly debatable. 150 sets of questionnaire were distributed and only 101 was fully completed and only 99 are valid data. The sample of the study were collected in the area of Selangor, specifically Cyberjaya, Kajang and Shah Alam. The data was further analyzed using SPSS and the result shows that there is a significant effect on the impact of debt on income and at the same time effecting the society’s lifestyle. The future implications and conclusions are also discussed.
