Abstract

Entrepreneurially-driven group of our Faculty of Business (FOB) students namely Kane Gan Kai Ern, Nick Ho Yee Sheng, Chong Yee Min @ Chong Jia Ni, and Elyn Kuan Yie Meng coached by Dr. Tan Pei Kian took the pleasure of making the University proud by winning the Third Runner-Up in HSBC-Enactus Malaysia Business Case Competition 2017 on 12 April. These active, resourceful presenters from Multimedia University (MMU) got the better of 20 other local university teams to qualify into the Final round. In the competition that took place at Hotel Istana, Kuala Lumpur, the MMU team was awarded with the commendable Third Runner Up prize. The HSBC Malaysia Business Case Competition 2017 organised by Enactus Malaysia Foundation, is a unique undergraduate business case competition that brings together students and faculty representatives from some of the best Malaysian universities. This competition provides a platform for young students to apply their practical business knowledge and skills to real life business scenarios. The panel of judges include HSBC executives, business leaders, entrepreneurs and professionals representing a wide spectrum of industries and disciplines in Malaysia.
