Abstract

Zinc oxide (ZnO) has been studied intensively in the past decades owing to its remarkable electrical and optical properties. Concurrent with the rise of colloid technology, ZnO colloids have drawn significant attention due to its wide range of potential applications in optoelectronics. This thesis demonstrates the fabrication process of ZnO colloids via sol-gel spin coating technique. In this study, the synthesis parameters such as stirring speed, amount of supernatant, post annealing temperature, and aluminum (Al) doping concentration are varied to optimize the dispersity quality and optical property of ZnO colloids system. The ZnO colloids prepared with these parameters were spin coated onto glass substrate. They were then treated with post annealing treatment and followed by characterization.
